Lehlohonolo Henrietta Montjane | Lehlohonolo Henrietta Montjane was born in Soweto, South Afrca, in 1965. She is the eldest daughter of the Rev. Dr. Norman Montjane and Rev. Dr. Margaret Moshoeshoe-Montjane. She is the mother of two sons, Tshepo and Lesedi. who are now sixteen and seventeen years old. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, (Cum Laude) from Salem State College, Mass in 1988, and is a member of the Alpha Delta Mu National Honor Society, In 1990 she graduated from Boston University School of Social Work with a Master of Social Work. In 1995 she obtained a Diploma in Business Development from the Witwatersrand Tecknikon, South Africa, Shecompleted the Senior Executive Programme for Southern Africa offered by Harvard Business School and Witwatersrand University BUsiness School in 2000. SHe received a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology in 2004. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Social Wirj at Simmons College. Rev. Montjane is currently serving at Pearl Stree United Methodist Church in Brockton, Mass which is a diverse congregation made up of disciples of Jesus Christ from all parts of the world like Liberia, South Africa, Nigeria Latin America, Barbados, African-Americans and New England Caucasian-Americans. As of July 2008, Bishop Weaver appointed Rev. Montjane to also serve the congregation of the Whitman United Methodist Church. "I have dedicated my life to serving God and pursuing social justice and human rights for women and their children as well as people living with HIV/Ads locally and globally. My Passion of mission and ministry is to work with all God's people, pastoral counseling and to fight against race, class and sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability or gender oppression. My favorite hymns are Great Is Thy Gaithfulness and It Is Well With My Soul. |
